摘要

Abstract

C3 F7 CN gas, as an excellent environmental protection dielectric for insulators, has recently become a research hotspot in the field of SF6 alternative gas. However, there are few studies on DC partial discharge characteristics of its mixed gas. Therefore, we measured the partial discharge initial voltage of C3 F7 CN/CO2 gas mixture under DC voltage by using a needle-plate electrode to simulate non-uniform electric field. The effects of gas pressure, voltage polarity and electric field inhomogeneity on partial discharge initial voltage of C3 F7 CN/CO2 gas mixture were studied and compared with SF6 and SF6/N2 mixture. The results show that the partial discharge initial voltage of C3 F7 CN/CO2 gas mixture shows a non-linear growth trend with the increase of gas pressure. The change of the partial discharge initial voltage of C3 F7 CN/CO2 gas mixture will present a "hump effect" with gas pressure under the specific electric field nonuniformity coefficient and voltage polarity. The partial discharge initial voltage of C3 F7 CN/CO2 gas mixture is significantly affected by voltage polarity. The partial discharge initial voltage of C3 F7 CN/CO2 gas mixture has a minimum value in the range of5.74~49.93 electric field inhomogeneity coefficient. The study of DC partial discharge characteristics shows that the ability of C3 F7 CN/CO2 gas mixture to suppress DC partial discharge is equivalent to or even better than SF6/N2 gas mixture.
