Abstract
Oscillatory wave test is an effective method for the defect detection and locating of cable;however, most of the partial discharge (PD) locating tests are finished manually. In order to save labor and time costs, we designed a novel partial discharge automatic locating algorithm for the oscillatory wave cable test based on the traveling wave method. This algorithm segments the pulses from the signal via floating threshold, and then matches the pulses according to the characteristic parameters of each pulse, thus the partial discharge locating is realized. Based on a real cable partial discharge signal, the influences of the tolerance of different matching conditions on the algorithm locating results were analyzed, and the optimal tolerance parameter was obtained. The field cable test results prove that the cable partial discharge location algorithm under the optimal parameter settings in this paper achieves the same location results as manual results, which is consistent with the actual defect situation. The algorithm can provide a reference for the PD location of cable in engineering applications.关键词
