Abstract
In the visible light communication system, the carriers that remain on the junction capacitance of LED when the LED is turned off greatly limit the modulation rate of the LED. This paper studies a new LED drive circuit that can remove residual carriers on the junction capacitance when the LED is turned off. Through connecting a triode with both ends of LED, and turning on it when the LED is turned off, the LED is become short-circuit to quickly remove the residual carriers on both ends of the LED; and through turning off the triode when the LED is turned on, the normal drive of LED can be ensured. Taking 1 MHz square-wave signal as the signal source, the optical signal emitted by the LED is detected by the FDS100 photoelectric detector, and the circuit is tested through two different LED bands of blue (460 nm center wavelength) and purple (400 nm center wavelength). The experimental results show that the new LED drive circuit can effectively improve the modulation rate of a single LED.关键词
