摘要

Abstract

Objective To investigate the effect of low salt diet on the rat myocardial hypertrophy induced by high frustose water (HF). Methods Wister male rats were randomly divided into 5 groups, including the control group, high-salt group (HS), high fructose group (HF), high fructose water with high salt diet group (HFHS) and high fructose water with low salt diet group (HFLS). The changes of heart histological evaluation and expression of Sirius Red and α-SMA in heart tissue were detected in each group. Results Compared to the control group, the ratio of heart and body weight in both HF and HS groups were significantly increased (P<0.01). The myocardial cell area of HF group (0.442 3±0.178 0) μm2 was larger than that of the control group (0.189 9±0.079 06) μm2 (P<0.01). The positive staining areas of Sirius Red of HS group was significantly increased compared with the control group (P<0.01). The expression of α-SMA showed that both HF and HS promoted cardiac fibroblast proliferation. HFLS significantly reversed the above indicators and improved myocardial hypertrophy. Conclusion Low-salt diet improves myocardial hypertrophy and prevents the deposition of extracellular matrix induced by high fructose water and high salt.
