The Status of Water in Urban Development from the Perspective of the Relationship between Ancient Hangzhou and Water
摘要
Abstract
The importance of water to cities is self-evident, and its value and function are reflected in all aspects of material and spiritual culture. Simply speaking, water is the soul and lifeline of the city. With water, the city will have vitality to maintain its development. Water not only is the lifeblood of the city, but also nurses the city itself, affects the urban pattern and evolution, and even determines the type or character of the city. Hangzhou is such a typical city. Analyzing the relationship between ancient Hangzhou and the West Lake, the Qiantang River, the Grand Canal, and the East China Sea, we can see that the relationship between city and water is inseparable and unbreakable.关键词
