Objective:To understand the correlation between sleep quality and loneliness for college students so as to provide an empirical basis for their mental health. Methods:Total 370 college students were sampled stratified randomly and finished Self-Rating Scale of Sleep (SRSS) and UCLA Loneliness Scale test. The data were analyzed by SPSS17.0. Results: (1) The detection rate of sleep disorder for college students was 38.00%;in which the mild sleep disorder was 33.43% and the moderate was 4.29% and the severe was 0.28%. (2) The total scores of sleep quality and the factor scores of sleep lack, the factor scores of sleep quality, the factor scores of awareness lack, the factor scores of sleep time, the factor scores of post-insomnia reaction for the female college students were higher than those of the male college students (t=-2.351, -4.093, -2.165, -2.574, -2.657, -2.609;P<0.05).The total scores of sleep quality and the factor scores of awareness lack, the factor scores of sleep difficulty, the factor scores of sleep instability, the factor scores of nightmares night terrors in the third grade college students were higher than that in the other grade college students (F=4.107, 3.042, 2.882, 3.148, 5.396;P<0.05).The factor scores of sleep time of the urban college students were higher than those of the rural college students (t=2.315, P<0.05).The factor scores of sleep difficulty and the factor scores of post-insomnia reaction for the rural college students were higher than those of the urban college students (t=-2.028, -2.545;P<0.05).The factor scores of sleep instability and the factor scores of nightmares night terrors of the non only college students were higher than those of the only college students (t=-2.183, -2.156;P<0.05). (3) The total scores of sleep quality and the factor scores of awareness lack, the factor scores of sleep time, the factor scores of sleep difficulty, the factor scores of sleep instability, the factor scores of awake early, the factor scores of nightmares night terrors, the factor scores of medication situation and the factor scores of postinsomnia reaction of the college students with higher loneliness group were higher than those of the college students with lower loneliness group (t=-4.947, -2.982, -3.290, -4.349, -3.579, -3.458, -3.010, -2.430, -2.171;P<0.05). (4) The Pearson correlation was significantly positive between the total scores of sleep quality, the factor scores of sleep lack, the factor scores of awareness lack, the factor scores of sleep time, the factor scores of sleep difficulty, the factor scores of sleep instability, the factor scores of awake early, the factor scores of nightmares night terrors, the factor scores of medication situation and the factor scores of post-insomnia reaction for college students and loneliness (r=0.339, 0.112, 0.202, 0.163, 0.280, 0.224, 0.201, 0.264, 0.133, 0.181;P<0.05).Conclusion:Sleep quality is poor for the college students with higher loneliness.关键词
