摘要

Abstract

In order to reduce the conflict between right-turn vehicles and crossing pedestrians under the"vehicles yielding to pedestrians"control strategy, so as to improve the traffic efficiency of right-turn vehicles on the premise of ensuring pedestrian's crossing safety, the type of the conflict between right-turn vehicles and crossing pedestrians was defined, and the objective and subjective causes of the conflict were analyzed combining with specific circumstances of two-phase control and four-phase control intersections. On this basis, the specific control strategies of"vehicles yielding to pedestrians"were summarized from the four aspects such as traffic design, traffic concept, yielding rules and traffic propaganda, and the applicable conditions were proposed. Meanwhile, for the intersections which were not suitable to the yielding strategies, vehicles and pedestrians were separated from time and space.
