Abstract
Objective:To investigate the nutritional risk and the application of nutritional support in inpatients with nasal natural killer (NK) /T-cell lymphoma.Methods:One hundred and fifty-one patients with nasal NK/T cell lymphoma were enrolled in this studyfrom November 2009 to September 2016 in a specialist tumor hospital in Hunan province.The adverse reactions and clinical biochemi-cal tests were investigated in patients during chemoradiotherapy.Nutritional Risk Screening (NRS) 2002 was used for nutrition riskscreening.The status of clinical nutritional support was investigated.Results:During the hospitalization, adverse reactions such as uppergastrointestinal reactions, oral reactions and leukopenia were common, and nutrition-related blood biochemical indicators were deteri-orated.The weight and body mass index (BMI) at discharge were lower than that at admission.NRS2002 scores were higher comparedwith admission.There were 38 cases (25.2％) and 130 cases (86.1％) of nutritional risk at the time of admission and discharge.Ninety-seven cases (64.2％) received parenteral nutrition support, 12 cases (7.9％) received enteral nutrition support.The ratio of paren-teral nutrition and enteral nutrition was 8.1:1.Thirty-three (21.9％) patients were discharged from the hospital with NRS 2002 scores were≥3, despite nutritional risks, they did not receive nutritional support.Conclusion:During the period of chemoradiotherapypatients with nasal NK/T-cell lymphoma were prevalent with gastrointestinal reactions, oral reactions and leukopenia, and there is asignificant risk of malnutrition.Therefore, it is necessary to strengthen the nutritional support during hospitalization.There are someunreasonable applications of clinical nutrition support.It is recommended that clinicians provide patients with appropriate nutritionalsupport and necessary nutrition and health education during hospitalization, as recommended by the Chinese Cancer Nutrition TherapyGuidelines.关键词
