Effect of External Application of Glauber's Salt of Umbilical Cord and Point Massage of Zusanli on Postoperative Gastrointestinal Function in Patients Undergoing Laparoscopic Hepatectomy

Abstract
Objective To investigate the effect of external application of Glauber's salt of umbilical cord combined with point massage of Zusanli on postoperative gastrointestinal function recovery in patients undergoing laparoscopic hepatectomy. Methods Ninety patients undergoing laparoscopic hepatectomy were randomly divided into observation group, control group 1 and control group2, with 30 cases in each group. The observation group received external application of Glauber 's salt of umbilical cord and point massage of Zusanli. Control group 1 was given only point massage of Zusanli and control group 2 only the external application of Glauber's salt. The recovery time of postoperative bowel sounds, the first anal exhaust time and the first defecation time were compared between the three groups. Results The recovery time of postoperative bowel sounds, the first anal exhaust time and the first defecation time in the 3 groups were statistically significant (P＜0.001). The results of the intergroup comparison showed that the recovery time of postoperative bowel sounds (P＜0.001), the first anal exhaust time (P＜0.01) and the first defecation time in the observation group were earlier than that in control group 1 and 2 (P＜0.001). Conclusion External application of Glauber's salt of umbilical cord combined with point massage of Zusanli can effectively promote the recovery of postoperative gastrointestinal function in patients undergoing laparoscopic hepatectomy.关键词
