Abstract
Objective:To study the effect of Huayu Tongqiao Cong'er Decoction on bacteriology and immune factors of middle ear effusion in children with secretory otitis media (SOM).Methods:One hundred and twenty children with SOM were randomly divided into two groups:observation group (Huayu Tongqiao Cong'er Decoction routine treatment) and controlled group (routine treatment).The bacteriological index of ear effusion was PAF, endotoxin level, immune factor IL-2, ET-1, IL-1β, adverse reaction and recurrence rate.Results:After treatment, the TCM syndromes such as stuffy ears, tinnitus, deafness, hyperemia of tympanic membrane and color of tympanic membrane were all significantly decreased (P ＜ 0.05), and the extent of decrease in the observation group was greater than that in the controlled group (P ＜ 0.05).The effective rates of treatment in the controlled group were 91.67％ and 83.33％ respectively (P ＜ 0.05), the levels of PAF, IL-2, IL-8 and IL-1βin the middle ear effusion of the two groups were significantly decreased after treatment, and the extent of the decrease was greater in the observation group (P ＜ 0.05), while in the observation group, the adverse reaction rates in the controlled group were 1.67％ and 11.6775％, respectively, and the recovery was 6 months.The incidence rates were 3.33％ and 13.33％ respectively (P＞ 0.05).Conclusion:Huayu Tongqiao Cong'er Decoction can significantly enhance the immunity of children with SOM, relieve inflammatory reaction and clinical symptoms, and improve the therapeutic effect.It is worth popularizing.关键词
