Abstract
Objective:To observe the effect of Yiqi Yangyin Mingmu Decoction combined with photodynamic therapy on the prognosis of patients with age-related macular degeneration (AMD).Methods:65 cases of patients (84 eyes) with age-related macular degeneration admitted from April 2016 to May 2018 were selected and divided into controlled group and observation group according to different treatment methods.31 cases (40 affected eyes) in the controlled group were given photodynamic therapy, and 34 cases (42 affected eyes) in the observation group were treated with Yiqi Yangyin Mingmu Decoction combined with photodynamic therapy.The prognosis was compared between the two groups.Results:The treatment effective rate of visual acuity in the observation group was significantly higher than that in the controlled group (88.10％ vs 65.00％), and the treatment effective rate of fundus in the observation group was higher than that in the controlled group (90.48％ vs 67.50％) (P ＜ 0.05).At 3 months after treatment, the visual acuity in the observation group was higher than that in the controlled group, and the area of fundus hemorrhage and exudation was smaller than that in the controlled group, and the retinal thickness was lower than that in the controlled group (P ＜ 0.05).The TCM syndromes scores of dry eye and tinnitus, dizziness, irritability or depression, and dry mouth and throat dryness in the observation group after treatment were lower than those in the controlled group (P ＜ 0.05).Conclusions:Yiqi Yangyin Mingmu Decoction combined with photodynamic therapy for AMD patients can significantly improve the treatment effects, reduce the TCM symptoms, improve eye symptoms, and help patients with prognosis and recovery.关键词
