Health empowerment level of elderly patients with chronic diseases and its influencing factors
摘要
Abstract
Objective:To analyze the health empowerment level of elderly patients with chronic diseases and its influencing factors, so as to provide references for further improving the health empowerment level of elderly patients with chronic diseases.Methods:A total of 414 elderly patients with chronic diseases in hospitals and nursing homes in Wuhan city were investigated by self-designed general data questionnaire and health empowerment scale for elderly patients.Results:The health empowerment score of elderly patients with chronic diseases was (3.71±0.54), and the factors influencing the health empowerment level of elderly patients were their cohabitants, education level, proportion of medical reimbursement and place of residence (P＜0.05).Conclusions:The health empowerment level of elderly patients with chronic diseases was affected by a variety of factors.Family members and the society should provide personalized help and empowerment education to the elderly, stimulate their belief in responsibility, encourage them to seek support and acquire knowledge, encourage them to participate in treatment, and ultimately achieve self-reconstruction and improve their health empowerment level.关键词
