Abstract
Objective:To understand the prevalence of geriatric syndromes in hospitalized patients and provide references for the next comprehensive management.Methods:A total of 376 geriatric inpatients from two third grade hospitals in Chengdu were evaluated comprehensively.Results:The top five causes of geriatric syndromes in hospitalized patients were respectively impaired daily living ability and malnutrition risk and malnutrition, chronic pain, multiple drug use and chronic constipation.There were significant differences in the incidence of high risk of falls and chronic pain between different genders of elderly patients (P＜0.05).There were significant differences in the incidence of risk of falls, urinary incontinence, multiple drug use, chronic constipation, chronic pain and pressure ulcer among different ages of elderly patients (P＜0.05).There were significant differences in the incidence of chronic pain among elderly patients with different marital status (P＜0.05).The elderly suffered from senile syndromes (4.71±2.13), 310 cases (82.45％) suffered from three or more geriatric syndromes at the same time.Conclusions:With the increase of age, the number of elderly patients suffering from geriatric syndromes increased, and the co-occurrence of geriatric syndromes was obvious.Medical workers should strengthen the evaluation and management of geriatric syndromes in future, and promote the development of geriatric care.关键词
