Abstract

In order to improve the defects of cyanate ester resin, CE/Ce2O3 series composite materials were prepared by adding nano cerium oxide (Ce2O3) particles into cyanate ester resin (CE) matrix and using dibutyltin dilaurate (BDTL) as initiator.The experimental results show that when the content of Ce2O3 nanoparticles is 0.2 %, the bending strength of the material reaches 162.40 MPa, which is 92.0 % higher than that of pure Ce cast sheet.The impact strength of 13.56 kJ/m2 is 63.4 % higher than that of pure Ce cast sheet when Ce2O3 particle content is 0.3 %.Through the change of the micro-morphology of the cast sheet, the reason why the properties of the composite material are improved is analyzed.In the resisting acid and alkali corrosion resistance experiment of the system, when the content of Ce2O3 nanoparticles is 0.4 %, the alkali corrosion resistance is the best, and the corrosion rate is only 0.08 %.When the content of Ce2O3 nanoparticles is 0.3 %, the acid corrosion resistance is the best and the corrosion rate is only 0.09 %.Therefore, when nano Ce2O3 particles are introduced into the CE polymer matrix and the content of nano Ce2O3 particles is 0.3 %, the composite cast sheet has the best performance, which improves the defects of cyanate ester resin itself and realizes the optimization of CE resin performance.
