摘要

Abstract

Objective To observevascular calcification, bone mineral density (BMD) and bone metabolism markers in testicular aged rats [type Ⅰ procollagen N-terminal propeptide (P ⅠNP) , osteocalcin (BGP) and type Ⅰ collagen cross-linked carboxy terminal peptide (CTX) -Ⅰ) ] changes.Methods 16 male Sprague-Dawley rats aged 7 months were randomly divided into two groups. In the model group, the rat osteoporosis model was established by bilateral testicular extraction, and the control group was given sham operation. Six months after operation, all rats were sacrificed. BMD was measured by dual-energy X-ray absorptiometry. The thoracic aorta was stained with alizarin red to observe calcification. Serum P1 NP and BGP were measured by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay and CTX-Ⅰ concentration. Results The BMD of the model group was lower than that of the control group [ (0.2636±0.0096) g/cm2 vs (0.3104±0.0157) g/cm2], the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05); The calcification of the thoracic aorta was obvious, and the serum PⅠNP and BGP levels were significantly lower than those of the control group (P<0.05) , while the serum CTX-Ⅰwas higher than the control group, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusion Osteoporosis model can be established in the aged rats by castration method, and the degree of vascular calcification is significantly increased during the process of osteoporosis formation, bone formation markers are decreased, and bone resorption markers are increased.
