The impact of network health information search on the relationship between doctors and patients among patients with chronic diseases

Abstract
Objective To analyze the search for network health information among patients with chronic diseases and its impact on the relationship between doctors and patients. Methods Based on the relevant literature home and abroad and the existing questionnaires, combined with the specific characteristics of the study, a selfmade questionnaire survey was designed. The questionnaire survey was conducted among 179 outpatients with chronic diseases from two large grade Ⅲ first-class hospitals, and statistical analysis was conducted on the collected data. Results 77. 1％ of the respondents stated that the reason for network health information search was convenience. 88. 3％ of patients with chronic diseases searched for health information via search engines such as Baidu and 360. Most patients searched for health information on diseases, health care, etc. from the Internet before seeing a doctor. In addition, network health information search frequency, search attitude and verification behavior of patients with chronic diseases had an impact on doctor-patient relationship. Conclusions The Internet has become the main access for patients with chronic diseases to obtain health information. It is necessary to improve the utilization efficiency of network health information resources for patients with chronic diseases. Meanwhile, it is vital to actively adapt to new changes in the medical service mode to improve the relationship between doctors and patients with chronic diseases.关键词
