Abstract
Objective Two cases of anti-HCV-negative/HCV RNA-positive blood donors were followed up to confirm the infection status of HCV virus and the changes of various indicators during early infection, which provided evidence for early diagnosis and prevention of HCV-infected donors. Methods The blood samples of initial blood donation and follow-up sampling were screened by ELISA, nucleic acid characterization, disease-borne testing, and virus typing. Results Two anti-HCV-negative/anti-HCV-RNA-positive blood donors both received two follow-up tests. The time point of positive conversion was at 50 days and 64 days, respectively. The 2 blood donors were eventually confirmed anti-HCV-positive/HCV-RNA positive. The ALT values increased at first and then decreased, whereas the viral load decreased at first and then increased. The genotypes of the two cases were 3 b and 6 n respectively. Conclusion Two blood donors were at the window period of HCV infection when they donated blood. Nucleic acid testing can effectively reduce the risk of residual blood transfusion, which is of great significance in protecting blood transfusion.关键词
