Abstract
Objective To investigate the effects of compound betamethasone injection combined with sodium hyaluronate on pain degree and knee joint function in patients with knee osteoarthritis. Methods From February 2016 to February 2018, a total of 108 patients with knee osteoarthritis in Department of Orthopaedics in Leizhou People Hospital were randomly divided into observation group and control group according to random table method, with 54 cases in each group. The control group was treated with sodium hyaluronate, and the observation group was given compound betamethasone injection combined with sodium hyaluronate. The effects of the two groups were compared and the adverse reactions were observed. The pain level, knee function, inflammatory factors including IL-1, IL-6, and IL-8 were measured before and after treatment. Results The total effective rate of the observation group was 94.44%, which was significantly higher than 81.48% of the control group (P<0.05). After treatment, the Lysholm score of the observation group was significantly higher than that of the control group, and the visual analogue scales (VAS) score of the observation group was significantly lower than that of the control group (P<0.05). After treatment, the serum levels of IL-8, IL-6 and IL-1 in the observation group were significantly lower than those in the control group (P<0.05). The incidence of adverse reactions in the observation group was 9.26%. Compared with 14.81% in the control group, there was no significant difference (P>0.05). Conclusion The clinical effects of compound betamethasone injection combined with sodium hyaluronate in the treatment of knee osteoarthritis is remarkable. It can effectively reduce the level of inflammation, relieve pain, improve knee joint function and has high safety.关键词
