Abstract
Objective To investigate the clinical efficacy of diclofenac sodium sustained-release tablets combined with Yaotongning Capsules (腰痛宁胶囊) in the treatment of postoperative lower back pain in patients with lumbar intervertebral disc prolapse. Methods From August 2014 to August 2018, a total of 60 patients with lower back pain after operation for lumbar intervertebral disc prolapse enrolled in Department of Surgery of Shenyang Friendship Beauty Hospital were selected. Patients were randomly divided into control group and observation group according to hospitalization medical record number, with 30 patients in each group. The control group was given oral diclofenac sodium sustained-release tablets for symptomatic treatment of antiinflammatory and analgesic. The observation group was treated with Yaotongning Capsules on the basis of the control group for 4 10-day courses. The levels of low back pain score (JOA), visual analog scale (VAS), low back pain dysfunction index (ODI), and lumbar function evaluation (Mac Nab) were compared before and after treatment. Results There was no significant difference in scores of JOA, VAS and ODI between the two groups before treatment (P>0.05). After treatment, the JOA, VAS, and ODI scores of the two groups were improved. The observation group was superior to the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). After the end of the treatment period, the excellent and good rates of the control group and the observation group were 43.3％ and 80.0％, respectively. The difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusion The clinical efficacy of integrated traditional Chinese and Western medicine in the treatment of low back pain after operation for lumbar intervertebral disc prolapse is better than that of Western medicine alone, and it can better alleviate the pain of patients and improve the quality of life.关键词
