Bacteriological Efficacy Between Micro-Pump and Intravenous Drip of Piperacillin/Tazobactam in the Treatment of Lower Respiratory Tract Infection and Their Effects on Inflammatory Markers

Abstract
Objective To compare the bacteriological efficacy between micro-pump and intravenous drip of piperacillin/tazobactam (PIPC/TAZ) in the treatment of lower respiratory tract infection and their effects on inflammatory markers. Methods Totally 68 patients with lower respiratory tract infection admitted to the hospital from September 2014 to October 2017 were selected and divided into the control group and the study group according to the different treatment methods, 34 cases in each group. The control group was given intravenous infusion of PIPC/TAZ for 0. 5 h, while the observation group was given micro-pump intravenous infusion of PIPC/TAZ for 3 h. Results The total effective rate of the observation group was 91. 18%, which was significantly higher than 73. 53% of the control group (χ2= 3. 943, P = 0. 046). After treatment, the levels of serum biochemical markers in the two groups were decreased than those before treatment (P < 0. 05), and the decrease in the observation group was more significant than that in the control group (P < 0. 05).The bacterial clearance rate of the observation group was 91. 67%, which was significantly higher than 73. 53% of the control group (χ2= 4. 050, P = 0. 044). The total incidence rate of adverse reactions showed no significant difference between the two groups (11. 76% vs. 8. 82%, χ2= 0. 159, P = 0. 690). Conclusion Compared with the traditional intravenous drip of PIPC/TAZ in the treatment of lower respiratory tract infection, the micro-pump intravenous infusion of PIPC/TAZ for 3 h has the advantages of more significant bacteriological efficacy and plays better role in reducing the relevant inflammatory markers.关键词
