Abstract
Objective To explore the curative effect and safety of methimazole combined with levothyroxine in treatment of children with hyperthyroidism. Methods 80 children with hyperthyroidism who were diagnosed and treated in our hospital from May 2016 to May 2018 were selected as the research objects and they were divided into two groups according to the random number table method. The control group was treated with methimazole while the observation group was treated with methimazole combined with levothyroxine. The total effective rate of clinical treatment, incidence of adverse events, thyroid volume and thyroxine level before and after the treatments of two groups were observed. Results The total effective rate of clinical treatment of children in the observation group was higher than that of children in the control group (P < 0.05). The incidence of adverse events of children in the observation group was lower than that of children in the control group (P < 0.05). After treatment, the thyroid volume in the observation group was smaller than that in the control group (P < 0.05). After treatment, the thyroxine level of children in the observation group was better than that of children in the control group (P < 0.05). Conclusion Methimazole combined with levothyroxine in treatment of children with hyperthyroidism has better curative effects and safety and its clinical application value is higher.关键词
