Abstract
Objective To explore the effect of hemoglobin electrophoresis on screening pregance complicated with thalassemia in pregnant women and to provide referecnce for clinical diagnosis. Methods 192 pregnant women who were diagnosised in our hospital from October 2016 to December 2017 were selected as research objects. Of whom, 100 were genetically diagnosed with thalassemia. Screening results of hemoglobin electrophoresis for thalassemia were analyzed. Results For patients with thalassemia, diagnosis of hemoglobin electrophoresis found many indexes of them were very different from those of normal pregnant women. Through comparative analysis, it was found that the average hemoglobin (Hb) of thalassemia gene carriers was (96.13±2.36) g/L, which was significantly lower than that of normal pregnant women (125.75±8.61) g/L. The difference was statistically significant (P < 0.01). The mean corpuscular volume (MCV) of thalassemia gene carriers was (70.34±3.26) fL, significantly lower than that of normal pregnant women (91.57±5.20) fL. The difference was statistically significant (P < 0.01). The mean corpuscular hemoglobin (MCH) of thalassemia gene carriers was (21.52±2.14) pg, significantly lower than that in normal pregnant women (30.69±1.64) pg. The difference was statistically significant (P < 0.01). The mean red cell distribution width (RDW) of thalassemia gene carriers was (14.35±2.14) ％, significantly higher than that of normal pregnant women (11.32±2.62) ％. The difference was statistically significant (P < 0.01). Conclusion The hemoglobin electrophoresis can better diagnose whether pregnant women suffer from thalassemia, whcih has positive guiding significance for future production and treatment of pregnant women.关键词
