The Discomfort Model and Experimental Research of Vertical Vibration for Micro Commercial Vehicles

Abstract
Micro commercial vehicles are very popular in the developing areas of China for its extraordinary loading ability. With the increasing demands for improving the riding comfort of vehicles, it is necessary to investigate the vibration induced discomfort of the micro commercial vehicles to provide a guidance of the vibration control of the vehicles. In this paper, a prediction model for discomfort analysis of the vehicles is established. Considering the complexity of road conditions in the developing areas, the vibration induced discomfort of the micro commercial vehicle when it is running on the asphalt road, concrete road, gravel road and bump road is investigated. Six vibration stimuli with the Wb weighted acceleration ranged from 0.531 m/s2 to 2.991 m/s2 are applied for each road condition, so there are totally 24 vibration stimuli. Thirty subjects evaluate the vibration induced discomfort with absolute magnitude estimation method. The relationship between the discomfort and the vibration acceleration is established by linear regression analysis. The prediction model of the vertical vibration induced discomfort of the micro commercial vehicles is established.关键词
