Abstract
Objective To investigate the clinical efficacy and safety of repaglinide combined with amlodipine or irbesartan for elderly patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) complicated with essential hypertension (EH).Methods 150 elderly patients with T2DM complicated with EH were randomly divided into group A and group B,75 for each group.Group A were treated with repaglinide and amlodipine, and group B with repaglinide and irbesartan. The clinical efficacy, blood glucose, blood pressure, renal function changes, and adverse reactions were observed. Results After 8 weeks' treatment, the blood pressure and renal function of the two groups were significantly improved, which were statistically different from those before the treatment (P < 0.05),but there were no statistical differences between the two groups (P > 0.05).The blood glucose was better after than before in both groups, and in group B than group A.The incidence of adverse reactions was 6.67% (5/75) in group A,and was 8.00% (6/75) in group B (P > 0.05).Conclusion Repaglinide combined with amlodipine or irbesartan in the treatment of elderly patients with T2DM complicated with EH both have good efficacy, low incidence of adverse reactions, and high safety, but the latter improves blood sugar levels better.关键词
