Effect of stage intensive education on dental cleanliness and nursing satisfaction of juvenile orthodontic patients

Abstract
Objective To observe the effect of stage health education on oral cleanliness and nursing satisfaction of juvenile orthodontic patients.Methods 126 adolescent patients who underwent orthodontic treatment at our hospital from February,2017 to January,2019 were selected as observation objects.The patients were randomly divided into an observation group (63 cases) and a control group (63 cases).The observation group took stage intensive education,and the control group traditional health education.The difference of oral cleanliness and nursing satisfaction were compared between the two groups.Results The oral cleanliness of the observation group was significantly higher than that of the control group (P ＜ 0.05).After the intervention,the gingival index (GI) and plaque index (PLT) were (1.37±0.45) and (1.34±0.70) in the observation group,which were significantly lower than those in the control group (P ＜ 0.05).The nursing satisfaction was significantly higher in the observation group than in the control group (100.00％ vs.68.25％,P ＜ 0.05).Conclusion The application of stage intensive education for juvenile orthodontic patients can improve the oral cleanliness,gingival,nursing satisfaction and prognosis,and reduce dental plaque.关键词
