Side effects of induced chemotherapy for children with acute lymphoblastic leukemia and the effect of oral nursing care

Abstract
Objective To observe the toxicity and side effects of induced chemotherapy for children with acute lymphoblastic leukemia and the effect of oral nursing care.Methods 86 patients with acute lymphoblastic leukemia treated by line-induced chemotherapy at our hospital from February,2012 to April,2017 were selected,and were divided into an observation group (43 cases) and a control group (43 cases).The observation group was treated with modified oral nursing care,and the control group traditional oral nursing care.The side effects (digestive tract reaction,oral ulcer,bone marrow depression,and fever),oral cleanliness,and oral comfort were compared between the two groups.Results The incidence of side effects was significantly lower in the observation group than in the control group (37.21％ vs.93.02％,P ＜ 0.05).The oral cleanliness and oral comfort were significantly higher in the observation group than in the control group (both P ＜ 0.05).Conclusion The application of improved oral nursing method can reduce the incidence of side effects during induced chemotherapy for children with acute lymphoblastic leukemia,improve the cleanliness and comfort of oral cavity,and is helpful for clinical rehabilitation.关键词
