摘要

Abstract

Excessive production of arachidonic acid ( ARA) , reactive oxygen species and nitric oxide ( NO) can cause oxidative damage in cells. Vitamin A can effectively regulate ARA and NO production and play an important role in alleviating oxidative stress. In this paper, the mitigation mechanism of vitamin A on oxidative stress of animals was reviewed from the point of views of increasing the expression and activities of selenopro?tein glutathione peroxidase ( GPx) and thioredoxin reductase ( TrxR) , and regulating the excessive production of ARA and NO via TrxR/mitogen activated protein kinase ( MAPK) pathway and nuclear factor E2 related factor 2 ( Nrf2)/GPx1/nuclear transcription factor?κB ( NF?κB) pathway. It would provide a theoretical basis for the study of the regulation mechanism of vitamin A on oxidative stress.[ Chinese Journal of Animal Nutri?tion, 2019, 31(6) :2458?2464]
