摘要

Abstract

The Maritime Silk Road starts from Quanzhou in the east, and end in the Africa and Europe in the west. It spans Southeast Asia, South Asia and West Africa, and involves the Tethys, Circuru-Pacific, and Gondwana Metallogenic Provinces. The unique geographical location and complex tectonic setting led to form large numbers of world-class deposits. The Southeast Asia region, located at the junction of the Tethys and Circum-Pacific Metallogenic Provinces, develop a series of porphyry-type, epithermal-type and skarn-type copper-gold, laterite-type bauxite, sand-type tin, magma-differentiated nickel, and evaporative sedimentary potassium deposits formed by arc- continent collision and continent-continent collision. With the evolution of the Tethys tectonic domain, the cracking of the Gondwana continent, and the collision between the Indian plate and Eurasian plate, the porphyry-type copper, magmatic-type chromite, BIF-type iron, laterite-type, and Syngenetic sedimentary metaruorphic-type manganese deposits formed in the South Asia. The Northeast Africa consists of the VMS-type gold and copper, orogenic-type gold and sedimentary-type leopoldite deposits. The West Africa Craton consists of the orogenic-type gold, BIF-type iron, laterite-type bauxite and sedimentary-type manganese deposits. The dominant mineral resources of the countries along the Maritime Silk Road characterized by the large scale, high grade, and concentrated distribution. They have strong complementarity with our China’s mineral resources, which could well serve the "one road and one belt" construction and promote the development of mining economy along the country.
