Abstract
Objective To understand the effect of smoking control in various public places in Putuo District of Shanghai in 2017 and the residents' knowledge and support status of the "Regulation on Smoking Control in Public Places in Shanghai" (Regulation). Methods By the method of inspection, a total of 108 monitoring points in 14 representative public places were selected for monitoring of tobacco control, including activities places for minors, health and medical institutions, catering and entertainment places, and others in Shanghai tobacco control regulations (amendment). Personnel monitoring in the site adopted questionnaire survey method. Results The proportion of indoor non-smoking room, non-smoking set, and non-smoking butt in Putuo District were 97.2%, 95.4%, and 92.6% respectively. The rates of reporting telephone number setting and non-smoking signs posting all were 90.7%, and the rate of tobacco control publicity materials matching was relatively low (71.3%). Smokers and non-smokers had different knowledge about tobacco control. For "smoking can cause stroke", "passive smoking is no less harmful to health than active smoking", and "everyone has the right to enjoy a smoke-free environment", the awareness rates of tobacco control knowledge of non-smokers were significantly higher than those of smokers (P<0.05). For "filter tip can not reduce the harm of smoking", the awareness rate of respondents was low (38.6%), and there was no statistically significant difference between smokers and non-smokers (P>0.05). The awareness rate of Regulation was 96.2%, and that of the smokers was lower than that of non-smokers (P<0.05). The support rate of the Regulation was 99.4%, and that of smokers was lower than that of non-smokers (P<0.05). Conclusion The implementation of the Regulations is a long-term and continuous process, and the management and propaganda of tobacco control need to be strengthened关键词
