Modulation Strategy with Leakage Current Reduction for Cascaded H-bridge Photovoltaic Grid-connected Inverter

Abstract
An effective modulation strategy is proposed to solve the leakage current problem with the cascaded H-bridge photovoltaic(PV)grid-connected inverter. First,a common-mode equivalent model of cascaded H-bridge PV grid-con?nected inverter is established,and the main factors influencing the common-mode leakage current are analyzed. Then, a modified level-shifted pulse width modulation(MLS-PWM)strategy is proposed. By taking advantage of the influence of different switching states on the common-mode voltage of the system,the common-mode voltage is kept constant dur?ing the switching process. In this way,the leakage current problem of the system is solved. This method is simple in structure,and it can effectively reduce the common-mode leakage current. Finally,simulation results verify the effec?tiveness and correctness of the proposed method.关键词
