Abstract

Image enhancement is of great significance in improving the precision of ship image detection in SAR images. For the traditional algorithms cannot achieve a good target enhancement for SAR images, this paper proposes a target enhancement algorithm based on improved rough set theory and gravitational field strength. By referring to theoretical knowledge of gravitational field, the gradient attributes of the rough set of condition attributes are improved to the gravita-tional field strength attributes, so as to achieve the target enhancement of the original image. Compared with other algo-rithms, the improved algorithm proposed in this paper is more suitable for SAR image characteristics than other algo-rithms, and can be used for the targeted enhancement of ship target pixels, which has certain engineering application value.
