Improving Fairness of Researchers Evaluation:RAC-index
摘要
Abstract
The purpose of this research is to help improve the fairness and rationality of the quantitative evalua-tion of researcher′s academic impact by introducing a new assessment index based on H-index. [Method/ProcessIntegrating the contri-butions of reprint author and other authors into index, the research improves RA-index based on the contribution difference of authors. An empirical study using 50 researchers′citation data from Web of Science proves the evaluation effectiveness of the proposed RAC-index, and the comparison of the RAC-index and H-index is presented. [Result/ConclusionThe result shows that the discrimination of RAC-index is better than H-index, it can select out high contribution and high impact researchers. RAC-index can be used as an independent indicator to evaluate the researchers.关键词
