摘要
Abstract
Objective To compare the results of natural size pupil refraction and compound tropicamide mydriasis refraction in children, and to investigate the clinical usage of compound tropicamide. Medoths Cross-sectional study. 148 children (148 eyes), including 76 males and 72 females, aged from 4 to 16, visiting the ophthalmology office of Xiamen Children's hospital, were included. Both before and after cycloplegia by compound tropicamide, the objective refraction of all subjects were measured using the Rk8900 autorefractor, and the subjective refraction was measured according to the objective outcome and following the norm of the highest plus degree or the lowest minus degree of the best vision. The data was grouped by the spherical equivalent degree (SED) in the groups of myopia, emmetropia, hyperopia. All data was analyzed using a paired t test. Results There is statistics significance of the SED in all groups, before and after cycloplegi-a. The differences of SED between natural size pupil objective refraction and compound tropicamide mydriasis objective refraction is 0. 29D, 0. 64D and 1. 21D in the myopic, emmetropic and hyperopic group, respectively. As for the subjective refraction, the differences is 0. 15D, 0. 45D and 1. 47D in the myopic, emmetropic and hyperopic group, respectively. Counclusions In clinical refraction, the natural size pupil refraction is quite important, and as a supplement of compound tropicamide mydriasis refraction, it serves as a good reference for prescription of glasses.关键词
