Abstract
Objective To evaluate and analyze the correlation between mental health status and social support in female cancer patients. Methods 100 women diagnosed with cancer and ttreated at our department between August, 2017 and October, 2018 were selected. Self-rating Depression Scale (SDS) and Self-rating Anxiety Scale (SAS) compiled by Zung and Social Support Rating Scale (SSRS) developed by Xiao Shuiyuan and others were used to investigate and analyze of the 100 patients. Results The scores of SDS and SAS were (54.05±13.90), (45.01±10.77), which were higher than the national norm (P < 0.05). The total score of social support and the scores of subjective support and social support were (37.23±8.27), (18.25±4.00), and (7.00±2.27), which were higher than the national norm (P < 0.05). Depression and anxiety were negatively correlated with social support (r=-0.650 and-0.561; P=0.000 and 0.001). Conclusion Social support is closely related to the mental health status of female cancer patients; improving the level of social support is helpful to improve the patients' mental health.关键词
