Abstract

In view of the shortcomings of low drilling efficiency, poor slag discharge effect and easy occurrence of drilling accidents in the construction of directional drilling in complex roof strata in the past, the technology of wireless while drilling combined directional drilling based on screw drill pipe was developed, and suitable drilling equipment was selected. Field tests were carried out in Huainan Guqiao Mine. The maximum drilling depth was 530 m and the cumulative drilling footage was 1 673 m, the pore-forming rate is 100%, and the slag-discharging effect is increased by more than two times. The test results show that the mud pulse wireless MWD system has stable performance, accurate measurement data, high drilling efficiency and drilling ability, good composite slag removal effect of screw drill pipe and high drilling cleanliness, and effectively improves drilling rate, drilling efficiency and drilling safety in complex rock strata.
