Abstract
Objective To investigate the correlation between chronic heart failure(CHF)and cognitive function and the impact of cognitive impairment on the quality of life for patients with CHF.Methods 292 patients with cardi﹣ovascular disease were divided into 2 groups according to whether they combined with CHF.Patients were scored with Montreal cognitive assessment scale (MoCA)to compare cognitive function characteristics and differences between CHF group and non-CHF group.The Minnesota living with heart failure questionnaire (MLHFQ)was used to assess life quality of CHF patients with and without cognitive impairment.Results There was significant difference on cog﹣nitive impairment between CHF group(66%)and non-CHF group(43.5%)(P＜0.05 ).The MoCA score in CHF group was lower than that in non-CHF group(P＜0.001).MoCA scores were negatively correlated with cardiac func﹣tion grade,heart failure duration,cardiothoracic ratio and NT-proBNP,but positively correlated with ejection frac﹣tion.However,only cardiac function grade and cardiothoracic ratio were significantly associated with MoCA score(P＝0.003).Conclusion CHF patients have higher incidence of cognitive disorder,which will influence the quality of their life.关键词
