An Analysis of the Position and Function of Open Source Intelligence in China's National Security Intelligence

Abstract
In the perspective of the holistic view of national security. This article,which starts from the concept and characteristic of open source intelligence,explores the status and role of open source intelligence in China's national security intelligence and aims at strengthening the awareness of open source intelligence in China's intelligence community. [Method/Process]Based on researches on open source intelligence in China and abroad,this article defines the concept of both general and special China's national security intelli-gence. Combined with the concept and characteristics of open source intelligence,it further discusses that open source intelligence is the main component of the general China's national security intelligence. [Result/Conclusion]The status of open source intelligence in China 's national security intelligence should be paid high attention. By strengthening the work of open source intelligence,the integration of na-tional security intelligence work can be promoted,the system and mechanism of national security intelligence work can be improved,and the comprehensive quality of intelligence analysts can be also raised.关键词
