MZE-index—A New Indicator for Assessing Institutions Influence
摘要
Abstract
This paper introduces a new evaluation index of academic influence of institutions, MZE index, and systematically compares MZE index with H index in order to promote the popularization and application of MZE index. [ Method/process]This paper introduces the idea of MZE-index firstly, and compares the consistency and difference of MZE-index with H-index. Then an empirical study is taken to test the effectiveness of MZE-index. [Result/Conclusion]The result shows that two indexes are con-sistent in evaluation object and index type, but differ from differentiation, sensitivity and volatility. MZE-index has higher discriminations and different correlations with other indicators. The ranking changes of research institutions are obvious by MZE-index.关键词
