Abstract

The noise of a cylindrical sewage pumping station can be up to 90 dB(A) and cause noise pollution to the nearby residents. In this paper, the structure and the noise source of the cylindrical station are analyzed. It is found that the noise of the pump’s operation and the indoor reverberation noise of the room are the main influence factors. Comprehensive measures such as sound absorption and equipment vibration isolation are adopted. Through the design of sound absorption, noise reduction and vibration isolation, the noise reduction scheme of the pump room and the material parameters are determined and compared with the field test data. It is found that the noise reduction in the workbench is up to 17.6 dB(A), the noise reduction at the pump can reach 6.8 dB(A), noise at the boundary of the plant can meet the noise limit requirements of the acoustic environment function zone of class 1, and the desired effect is obtained.
