Abstract
Objective To investigate the outcome of using holder for insulin pen cap in preventing nurses from pricking wound. Methods We designed the holder for insulin pen cap and used it in practice. The incidence of pricking wound in the nurses in 2017 before using the holder was set as a control group, and the incidence in 2018 after using the holder an observation group. The incidences were compared between the two groups. Results The incidence was 0.2％ in the observation group, and 0.9％ in the control group (P < 0.05). Conclusions The use of holder for insulin pen cap regularize the procedure of handling insulin pen needle, and lower the incidence rate of pricking wound in nurses.关键词
