Abstract

In order to improve the efficiency of dynamic structure analysis, the structure dynamic reduction method of primary degrees of freedom based on Ritz potential energy of nodes is proposed. Firstly, the theory of improved reduction system method is introduced, and the extraction process of Ritz vectors is analyzed. The Ritz potential energy of nodes is defined and is used to capture the primary degree of freedom which can accurately reflect the structural dynamic characteristics. The formula for calculating the Ritz energy of nodes is given. Then, with a cylindrical panel and a crankshaft as the examples, the feasibility and superiority of the proposed method are verified. The results show that the high precision dynamic characteristics are easier to catch by the defined Ritz energy of nodes in the Ritz vector space, and the weighting coefficients can improve the accuracy of higher order frequencies. It is suitable that the number of the primary degree of freedom in the structure dynamic reduction is chosen to be one third of that of the whole structure.
