Abstract

In view of the cumbersome calculation and time-consuming experiment of the resonance changer design for reducing the longitudinal vibration line spectrum of the ship shafting system, the Hypermesh software is used to model the shafting system and its resonance changer. On this basis, the C-M-C (CBUSH-MASS-CBUSH) model of the resonance changer is proposed to simulate the parallel structure of mass, stiffness and damping. The effects of changing the mass ratio u and damping value c of the resonance changer on reducing the longitudinal vibration of the shafting are discussed. The applicability of C-M-C model under different mass ratios and damping values is qualitatively analyzed, and the acceleration frequency response curves vs. mass ratio and vs. damping value are obtained respectively. The results show that the C-M-C model can well reflect the characteristics of the resonance changer and its results are basically consistent with the experimental results. The use of the C-M-C model can provide an effective simulation analysis method for longitudinal vibration modulation and vibration reduction.
