Effects of Compound Supplement of Colostrum Aromatic and Sweeteners Extracted from Plants on Fodder Preference, Growth Performance and Serum Biochemical Indexes of Weaned Piglets

Abstract
This study was conducted to study the effects of compound supplement of colostrum aromatic ( CA) and sweeteners extracted from plants ( SEP) on weaned piglets. The experiment consised of two parts: 1) fod?der preference experiment. Thirty?six piglets at 24?day?old were randomly divided into 3 groups with 4 repli?cates per group and 3 piglets per replicate. The test lasted for 5 days. The control group was fed the basal diet. The test groups were fed the basal diet supplemented with 0.2 g／kg saccharin sodium ( SS)+1 g／kg CA ( SS+CA group) , 0.2 g／kg SEP+1 g／kg CA ( 0.2 g／kg SEP+CA group) and 0.4 g／kg SEP+1 g／kg CA ( 0.4 g／kg SEP+CA group) , respectively. 2) Growth experiment. One hundred and sixty piglets with similar body weight and from 16 sows with the same genetic background and physiological condition ( 10 piglets from 1 sow) were randomly divided into 4 groups with 4 replicates per group and 10 piglets per replicate. The test lasted for 35 days. The diets and groups in this part were the same as fodder preference experiment. The results showed as follows: 1) the piglets had a medium?high fodder preference on diets in 0.2 g／kg SEP+CA group and 0.4 g／kg SEP+CA group, and had no fodder preference on diets in SS+CA group. 2) Compared with SS+CA group, the average daily feed intake in 0.4 g／kg SEP+CA group increased by 29.44%( P＜0.05) ; the average daily gain in group 0.2 g／kg SEP+CA group and 0.4 g／kg SEP+CA group increased by 20.28% and 43.23%( P＜0.05) , respectively; the feed／gain decreased by 3.68%和5.88%( P＜0.05) , respectively. Compared with the control group, the diarrhea rate in 0.4 g／kg SEP+CA group significantly reduced ( P＜0.05). 3) Compared with the control group, the serum cholecystokinin content in 0.2 g／kg SEP+CA group and 0.4 g／kg SEP+CA group reduced significantly ( P＜0.05) ; the serum ghrelin content in 0.4 g／kg SEP+CA group increased signifi?cantly ( P＜0.05) ; the serum noradrenaline content in 0.4 g／kg SEP+CA group reduced significantly ( P＜0.05) ; the serum adrenaline content in 0.2 g／kg SEP+CA group and 0.4 g／kg SEP+CA group reduced signifi?cantly ( P＜0.05) ; the serum D?lactic acid content in 0.4 g／kg SEP+CA group reduced by 53.38%( P＜0.05). These results show that the piglets had a medium?high fodder preference on diets with 0.2 g／kg SEP+CA and 0.4 g／kg SEP+CA, and the feeding effects of SEP and CA can increase average daily feed intake and average daily gain, and reduced feed／gain and diarrhea rate, and then improve the growth performance. Comprehensive indicators, 0.4 g／kg SEP+CA has a better compound effect in weaned piglet diets under this test condition. [ Chinese Journal of Animal Nutrition, 2019, 31(9) :4270?4277]关键词
