Program Design and Optimization of Automatic Ignition System for Main Combustion Furnace in Sulfur Recovery Unit

Abstract
Ignition control is the basic requirement for the safe and stable operation of the main combustion furnace of the sulfur recovery unit. In recent years, most of the new sulfur recovery unit in China have been equipped with automatic ignition systems. However, due to the complicate sequential control involved in the automatic ignition process and the precise requirements of multiple equipments work together, the program design is relatively complicated. Therefore, some automatic ignition systems are replaced by hand-held ignition with poor safety due to tedious operation and low ignition success rate. In order to design an automatic ignition program with safety, reliability, simple operation and high ignition success rate, this paper analyzes the typical ignition process of the main combustion furnace of a refinery sulfur recovery unit, and introduces the basic programming of the automatic ignition system, focusing on the key points affecting ignition success rate and ignition safety in the design of automatic ignition program. In the automatic ignition system program design, fuel gas-air on-off valve sequence control and ratio, automatic logic unlocking, flame detection delay setting, and purge button anti-missing toutch are added to optimize the safety and automatic of the automatic ignition process. The ignition success rate effectively reduces the labor intensity of the operator and achieves a better using effect.关键词
