Abstract
Objective To investigate the relationship between serum D-dimer and the severity of heart failure in older pa-tients with chronic heart failure. Methods 100 patients aged 60 -89 years (42 males and 58 females) with chronic heart failure from June 2015 to May 2017 were enrolled. According to New York Heart Association ( NYHA) heart function grading standard, there were 32 patients (13 males, 19 females) with cardiac function Ⅰ -Ⅱ, 29 patients (11 males, 18 females) with cardiac function Ⅲ, 39 cases (15 males and 24 females) with cardiac functionⅣ. 25 healthy subjects (9 males and 16 females) were se-lected as healthy control group. 26 heart disease patients with normal cardiac function (11 males, 15 females) were included in the normal heart function group. The serum D-dimer concentration was measured. The relationship between the concentration of D-di-mer and the NYHA classification was analyzed. Results Compared with the healthy control group and the normal heart function group, the serum D-dimer concentration increased in the chronic heart failure group ( P<0. 05). The concentration of D-dimer increased with the increase of NYHA classification. Spearman correlation coefficient was r=0. 758. Conclusion D-dimer concen-tration in older patients with chronic heart failure is positively correlated with the severity of heart failure. It can be as an auxiliary di-agnostic indicator for chronic heart failure. Int J Geriatr, 2019, 40 (6): 344-346.关键词
