Coordinative state of tetrahydrofuran in polyethylene catalyst

Abstract
The coordinative state of tetrahydrofuran(THF) with Mg,Ti metal in polyethylene BCS catalyst system was quantitatively characterized by 13C solid nuclear magnetic resonance quantitative cross polarization(13C QCP/MAS NMR). The coordination configuration was speculated and the experimental conditions for QCP/MAS characterization were optimized. The results show that the suitable test conditions are as follows:the contact time of cross polarization dynamics curve is 300 μs,and magic angle spinning rate is 8 kHz. The determination of the molar ratio of THF to Ti and Mg will be helpful to construct the coordination model of BCS catalyst. The method of determining the coordination state of BCS catalyst by QCP/MAS NMR will keep the coordination configuration of the catalyst without special treatment of the sample,and it has a wide range of practical application value. By comparing and analyzing the coordination content of BCS catalysts treated with different alkyl aluminum compounds,the content of active sites formed after alkylation can be inferred before polymerization, which is expected to be used as indicators to predict the active sites and product of catalysts.关键词
