Analysis of the Influence of Rigid Supports with Different Heights on the Natural Frequencies of Machine Tools

Abstract
When the excitation frequency of the machine is close to its natural frequency, the machine will produce resonance phenomenon, which will reduce the machining accuracy and the processing quality. This paper proposes a method to avoid the resonance. In this method, the natural frequency of the machine tool can be adjusted by changing the size of the support to avoid the resonance. Firstly, the finite element model of the machine tool is established and analyzed. Then, the quantitative relationship between the support height and the natural frequency of the machine tool is studied. Finally, the feasibility and effectiveness of the method are verified by modal experiments of the machine tool.关键词
