Abstract

The cabin noise of civil aircrafts has a remarkable effect on passengers'comfort. In the rear area of the pas-senger cabin, the noise peaks of 94 Hz and 274 Hz are found to appear in an aircraft test. In order to determine the sources of the noise peaks, the character of the airframe is analyzed and the vibration test is carried out for the structures which may produce the noise. It is found that the vibration caused by low pressure rotor and high pressure rotor of the engine is transmit-ted to the reinforced frame structure, and the vibration of the reinforced frame structure produces the two noise peaks. As an important noise transfer path, the acoustic transmission loss ability of the rear storeroom panel is calculated by the acoustic finite element modeling. The calculated acoustic transmission loss of the rear storeroom panel shows that the low acoustic transmission loss of this panel is the main reason of the two noise peaks in the cabin.
