Modal Analysis for the Aero-engine Casing with Different Bolts Looseness Considering the Influence of Joint Surface

Abstract
The influence of nonlinear characteristics of bolts connection joint surface on the dynamic characteristics of an aero-engine casing is investigated. The modal parameters variation of the aero-engine casing with different bolts loose-ness is obtained based on the contact finite element analysis. Firstly, the nonlinear pre-stressed modal analysis of the aero-en-gine casing is done considering the influence of nonlinear characteristics of the bolts connection joint surface. It is proved that the nonlinear characteristics of the bolts connection joint surface have an important influence on the natural frequencies of the aero-engine casing. Then, the influence of different preload on the natural frequencies of the aero-engine casing is in-vestigated with single variable method. The results show that natural frequencies increase with the increase of the preload of the bolts, and tend to the natural frequencies of the rigid aero-engine casing. And the natural frequencies change significantly at the orders where the modal shape varies rapidly at the bolts connection. Finally, the influence of different numbers and dis-tributions of loose bolts on the dynamic characteristics of the aero-engine casing is investigated. The results show that the natural frequencies of the aero-engine casing decrease slightly with the increase of the number of loose bolts, and tend to de-crease with the concentration of the loose bolts. And the vibration characteristics of the aero-engine casing are affected by the distributions of the loose bolts through the overlap area change of stress in the bolts connection joint surface.关键词
