摘要

Abstract

The AC bus faults arising in the voltage source converter(VSC)-based converter station have severe influ?ence on the system operation stability,so it is necessary to analyze the fault responses in detail. Considering the ground and phase-to-phase faults,the fault response mechanism,response circuit and response characteristics of the converter sta?tion and DC lines are studied in the case of a latched or latched-failed converter station. The response process is illus?trated by combining PSCAD simulation results,which proves the validity of the proposed fault response mechanism. The research result shows that the energy interaction within the system is an important part of fault response;in the case of a latched converter station,the energy interactions between AC and DC systems and within the DC system occur alternate?ly;in the case of a latched-failed converter station,besides energy interactions,the control of the converter station is anoth?er important factor that dominates the conduction state of bridge arms,fault loop and fault response characteristics.
